Hello ! My name is Maria. I am an English Native Speaker/ tutor with over 11 years of experience. When I was around 8 years old my family was planning to move to Europe. In order to prepare me for the assimilation my parents have plucked me out of the world I knew and placed me into a completely foreign environment. I was enrolled as a student of the Anglo-American School of Moscow. The best school in Moscow for international students from over 90 countries. From that age and until I graduated in 2015 all of my education and most of my social life were in English. I have successfully passed every required test as a native speaker, adopted an American/European accent and successfully completed my education in 2015 becoming the recipient of an International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB). Around then I started to tutor younger kids in English for the first time. I have extensive experience working with children and teenagers and I always try to find vacancies as a private tutor/nanny, as it is important for me to be able to find an individual approach to each student! I grew up in an English-speaking environment and specialise in full immersion in the language and creative approach so that the children truly enjoy the lessons. I am very warm and friendly, which helps me quickly build a bond even with shy kids. I am yet to meet a child I couldn’t connect with. I am very kind and patient and very interested in seeing the world from their perspective. To truly engage a student one must understand what drives them. At the same time I am very passionate and driven. I like setting specific goals and working towards them. Apart from ‘child education’ I was educated in ‘fine arts’ and I use my skills to a 1000% when creating educational materials. I lead a very active lifestyle, and love engaging kids in games and outdoor activities. And finally, I fully understand the great responsibility of being responsible for a child’s wellbeing and safety. I make sure that I am always focused and alert. And I am always respectful towards the parents’ wishes and requirements.
