Governor / Tutor (PGCE and QTS)
Dear Sir/Madam, I am a kind, caring and nurturing Governor/Tutor (PGCE and QTS). I have worked at two distinguished schools, each reputed for their excellence: one is ranked 9th in the UK and the other has received the Tatler ‘Prep School of the Year’ award. I have extensive experience of working with children aged 4-13. I believe in a holistic approach to child development, maximising academic achievement yet also supporting the development of creative, musical and sporting potential. Equally important to me is to ensure the pastoral well-being and happiness of a child by creating a caring environment to support their social and emotional development. My pastoral experience was gained supporting children in a boarding school, supervising morning and evening routines, engaging them in fun activities in the evenings and weekends, helping them with their homework and caring for their overall welfare.
On a personal level, I am fun, hard-working, easy to get on with and I love working with children. I am very accommodating and willing to be flexible as required. I am quick to build relationships and I am a good team player. I am reliable, well organised and an efficient time-manager. I genuinely believe I would be a good ambassador and role model. I am very sporty and love to play tennis, football, hockey and squash and in the winter, I enjoy skiing. I am an experienced and passionate cook, having learnt my skills from my mother who is a development chef. I have a strong knowledge of nutritionally well-balanced meals and can plan menus to suit dietary intolerances, likes and dislikes, as necessary. I would be delighted to cook meals for the family if this is required. I am an accomplished musician, with very high grades in saxophone, clarinet and music theory.
I am available from the 27th December. I have a current DBS certificate and Paediatric First Aid Certificate. I am a confident driver with a clean driving licence. I hope this gives a little picture of who I am.
Kind regards, Joseph.
