Nanny / Governess

My name's Fay and I'm an English speaking nanny currently based in London. I have always loved working with children, whether that be in a childcare or educational role. At the moment, I am looking for a new position as either a nanny or governess based in or around London.

My experience working with children is varied, including jobs as an English teacher, private tutor, nanny and governess. After moving to Spain aged 19, I worked for 2 years as a live out nanny with an international family based in Valencia. Later on, I began working as a private tutor, teaching English as a foreign language.

Later, I moved on to working as an English teacher in an academy based in Seville, providing after school lessons for children aged 4 to 18. As an English teacher I organised dynamic, interactive lessons to encourage the students to develop their spoken and written English. I also worked with some older students and adults to prepare them for University entrance and English language exams.I have been working in childcare within private households, working first as a governess with a Russian family based in central London and then as a nanny for two British families. It was such a rewarding experience to be able to work with children on a more permanent basis, caring for them, keeping them entertained and helping them to explore the world around them, as well as supporting them in their education.

In my free time, I love to keep fit and play different sports. I do kick-boxing boxing and yoga. I am a very creative person and enjoy painting . This is something I love to share with children through craft and artistic activities. I've always loved travel and languages, and from a young age had a passion for learning different languages. After living and working in Spain for almost ten years, I speak fluent Spanish as well as some French and Portuguese. After working for nearly a year with a Russian family I have learnt a little Russian and am currently taking lessons to improve my level.

I would now love to find a new family to work with, to be able to put my experience and skills to good use. I am looking for something based in the UK but am more than happy to travel internationally with a family when required.
