Governess / TEFL Teacher

Dear future employer: My name is Joha, I’m a bubbly, caring, fun and hard working woman with a passion for children, I am experienced in teaching, mentoring and working with families as a tutor, teacher, nanny, au pair and governess to children from babies to teenagers, both nationally and internationally. I believe the job of a teacher/governess/tutor/nanny/au pair is not only to educate and care for children in the specific environment but also to guide and mentor them to become good, successful human beings who will be an asset to society, who believe in themselves and their ability to do and accomplish their dreams and ambitions. I like to expose children to different experiences and create fun ways to learn and develop.

As a Drama coach I have specialised training and experience in working with children and know how to adopt a holistic approach to help with social skills as well as understand the various styles of learning, so that I can differentiate for each child to build their confidence and understanding. Whilst I have a great sense of humour and ensure the children have fun, I also know the importance of establishing firm boundaries for children, in collaboration with their parents and knowing when to give praise and encouragement. I am very patient, positive and nurturing which helps me to build a trusting relationship with them.
