I am a native English teacher from the United States. I have been working in Moscow since 2015 and I am well aware of the unique needs, challenges, and goals of Russian students. I want to work with adults and motivated teenagers of all levels who want to learn English for any purpose, whether it is for traveling abroad, business contacts, or achieving their educational goals.
My own background is in psychology, where I earned a master's degree in mental health counseling. This has a lot to do with my work with students of all ages, as I approach each lesson with patience and an effort to understand their motivation and mental blocks.
Thanks to my interest in the mechanics of English, my natural gift for writing, and my intensive CELTA training, I have a high level of language proficiency; this means that I not only know which word choice or grammatical form is correct, but I can also explain why it is so.
