Starched collars, curtsies, and governesses all seemed to have been left behind in the last century. But history has taken a turn, and now the fashion to hire nannies and teachers from abroad is taking over Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Knowledge of several languages is not a luxury or indulgence, but an absolutely necessity in our time. Modern moms and dads come to understand that English is necessary to know, and it does not matter whether the child continues to study in Russia or goes abroad. The second and third foreign languages should also be taught from the cradle. In addition, children need an excellent upbringing – they need to be able to act properly in society, have excellent manners, behave at the table, maintain small talk. Who better to handle such a task than an English governess? After all, it is Mary Poppins who will teach the child to control themselves even in the most difficult situations.

Realizing the advantages of nannies and governesses from English-speaking countries, Russian parents are increasingly choosing them for their children. Assistance in the selection of nannies is provided by the international agency English Nanny which has been working for over 30 years. Director of the Russian branch of the company Valentin Grogol says that many people are looking for work through their agency, but with a competition of three hundred people for a place, the company has the opportunity to choose real professionals. Each specialist has certificates indicating a high level of training. But the main thing, according to the director of the company, is that they all love their work: "you can also teach anyone to count. But only a few people can make a child fall in love with the process of learning."

Yulia Serykh, CEO of La Chocolaterie de Provence, agrees with the opinion of professionals: "we have different businesses in different countries. Even though I can work from home, I still need a qualified person who will help with the child."
